Hello, check out the home page http://www.asciitable.com/

If you look in the section called Extended ASCII codes, you will find some of your wanted characters. Now, in order to write some of them, for example ¼, you must make sure your numeric keyboard is activated (a light is turned on). Then press the Alt-key (next to the spacebar) and KEEP it down, while you write 172. Now you can release the Alt-key.

I have a Panasonic DVD/video recorder DMR-ES35V which will currently not record or play either DVDs or videos. The message on the front screen reads "A1". I don't know what I have pressed to...

Hello Shonz!

Is there any other error code that follows A1?
Just like a U61 if there is any, just post it back here.
So we could figure out the real problem.

Removing cover from LG 9900

Very often the Dummy phones these days are made to be just that A DUMMY PHONE. Quite often I read that parts off dummys will not work on a real phone. In the day Dummies were just the real phones gutted and they glued a keypad and fake screen under the bezels. Now it is cheaper just have to have them pour plastic in a mold and make dummies. I wish you luck, but I would keep this in mind.

Cobra Model HH35 radio dummy batteries

Normal AA batteries are 1.5 Volts each. The battery compartment on the HH35 holds 10 Batteries. If regular batteries are used they must be configured to a 12 Volt output. Thus the Dummy (Blank) is used to Make 8 X 1.5V=12 Volts.

If you use NiMH or Nicd which are rated at 1.2 Volts 10 X 1.2 =12 Volts.

Maxon Model MCB10A

In order to test this unit you will need a power meter with a dummy load. connect the power meter and turn on the unit, key the microphone and look at the power meter it should have a reading of < 4 watts PEP unmodulated and = 4 watts PEP modulated. If you do not have this reading the RF transmitter in the CB might be malfunctioning. You will need a RF generator, a power meter with dummy load, oscilloscope and a multimeter to troubleshoot this problem with. If you do not have or do not know what this equipment is or how it works, please take your unit to a CB repair shop. Thank you, Shuttle83
