My close captioning works fine on all channels, DVD's, everything, EXCEPT on USA it is so bad it cannot be deciphered. Is there something special about USA close captioning? Is there anything I can do, I watch USA so much.

I do not know this dvd player, but on most anything with closed caption, you hit the cc button on the remote until you come to '0' or 'off'. As CC has about 6 channels it can use, but really only channel '1' is used. So you might have to cycle through the CC channels until closed caption disappears. Hope this helps. You might also have a setup menu on this DVD where you can control the CC. Just cycle though it till you get to '0' or off, exit the setup menu.
Closed captioning isn't broadcast on every channel and program, so the information may not be present. Since captions are displayed on other channels, you know the set is working properly. If you are on a cable system you can try asking their customer service people if they know anything. But the TV is fine.
okay i so happy i got the solution from another web page this what you do its the closed caption button on the remote or tv go to close caption and keep hit close caption until you see off that's it so simple
closed caption depends on your tv stations. If a tv station does not support providng closed captions, then it will not really show closed captions. Closed captions depends really on the feature of a tv station
