Washed any coins lately? I had a front loading washer and when mine did that it was still under warranty so the service came out and pulled a quarter out of the drain trap. If you not sure where that is contact me
Turn the washing machine off with the on off button.
Turn the selector knob to a dot, or any off position
Turn the washing machine back on and watch for rapid flashing on the neon light
Turn the washing machine off and select the new program (or maybe spin)
Turn it back on and the new program should start
NOTE: Resetting the timer selector knob as shown above may stop the clicking round, but if your washing machine has a fault, the clicking round may return when your washing machine encounters the fault again. If your washing machine's program selector knob is clicking round on its own, then read the section above Washing machine stops with lights flashing hope it helps
hello any spin problem can be down to the module board the fact you've had turn the dial which is the programmer sound like this is the fault if this is the case you may need to be looking for new washer. sorry to be negative i hope you find a solution
This a common problem with Indesit washers..
It is not a timer but a programme selector switch.
What you need to do is the following.
Switch the m/c on, let the drain pump empty the water, then switch the m/c off.
set the selector switch to one of the black dots on the dial, which is stop/reset.
Then switch washer back on, if the dial still keeps going round and round, then you are going to have to call an engineer, as you have what is called an Anomaly (fault).
Plz leave feedback for this solution.
Thanks
hiya
these machines will do this if the timer dial has been moved during a cycle, they have a memory chip on the main circuit board.
they also do this if the machine has a fault with the exception that they dont stop, the doorlock light flashes and the timer just keeps clicking.
try setting the timer to a dot on the settings then switching the power on, the doorlock light will flash a few times, turn off again select program then switch back on, machine should now be reset and work ok, if not then count the flashes of the doorlock light as this indicates a fault code.
hope this helps

these machines are a problem! the dial clicking round can be a component fault - ie pump etc - or a module fault.
from what you describe, fault could be with the pump. an easy way to check is to power the pump up independently and see if drain works ok. (i assume you have checked the filter) after that, check continuity in the heater as well. if both of these are ok, you are faced with a module fault
My machine clicked round, although I did not have the water overflow. I managed to unlock the pump filter, on the front of the machine under the lower panel. This was fiddly. I removed a coin. The machine worked again, but two cycles later starting clicking round the timer.
I called an engineer - it worked when he was here, he checked the element and pump and said it was OK. When he had gone, it clicked round the timer again! He came again, and once again it worked perfectly when he was here.
Eventually I checked the pump filter again, and removed another two coins. At the moment - it is working!
