Question about Magellan GPS 310 GPS Receiver
My gps will not power up. The Magellan co. will not receive it for repair - they say it is not repairable. I need a repair statment and cost to repair for an extended warranty claim. Any suggestions?
Write a letter or e mail to Magellan requesting unit to be repaired, when the respond to you in writing that unit is not repairable, you have written proof that the unit is not repairable. That should supercede any requirement for an estimate on an extended warranty. When a unit is proven unrepairable, extended warranties have to offer a suitable replacement model in lieu of a repair. Don't take no for an answer. Most extended warranty companies save a lot of momey by making it hard to cash in on claims. If you're persistent it should pay off. It may also help enlist the help of the top manager at store that sold you the unit and the warranty.
