Unfortunately, you can't disable the child lock (front panel lock) without a working remote for the TV. If you can find a universal remote that will match the Menu function of the TV, then press menu and find the child lock option. Then press Volume + or Volume - to toggle it to off.
Just visit the site pointed out here, and check. There are setup code list to some popular models remote controls. Check them, and find out, which remote has setup codes with your brand TV, and select that one. In most cases, Philips universal remote will have it.
If you have a tv repairman in the area, he should be able to test your remote for an infrared signature with a tester. The other option is check out ebay to see if a seller has one for sale.
Hi i have a Aiko television and it for some reason it has F A C in small letters on the top left hand corner of the tv, how do i remove it i can't figure it out.

I had the same problem with an AIKO TV. The childlock was on and initially I couldn't find the remote after moving. Unfortunately the only way I got it unlocked was with the remote. So I turned the TV off with the remote. Then turned it back on and then had to go into MENU and change child lock from on to OFF. Sorry no other handy suggestions if you haven't got the remote.
Maybe a good idea is to go find the original replacement remote control for your television. I know that the cost of buying a new replacement is almost the same cost as the universal remote and less hassle when you receive it, because the replacement will just work! I went to every tv remote controls website to buy the replacement remote control. They have a pretty large selection so hopefully they have what you are looking for. Great site with good customer service, I would definitely recommend them. If they don't have what you are looking for, there are other sites out there like them that can help, just search on google for your tv/remote model number and you should be able to find the original.
