REMOVAL OF FRONT LCD SCREEN TO REPLACE WITH NEW ONE

HOW DO IT REMOVE THE FRONT LCD SCREEN TO REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE

I have a new RAZR front protective cover screen (LCD operating ok) to install. Screws (4) removed, but the "cover" does not separate from the rest of the flip top of the phone. I tried prying with small knife blade. Do I just need to pry harder or is there something else holding the "cover" on?

Flip open the phone and look for (4) rubber plugs at each corner of the inner LCD screen.

Using a very small flat-blade screwdriver, pry these rubber plugs out and you'll see the screws beneath them.

Remove the screw and you should then be able to take the flip part apart. Be sure to put the plugs and screws in a secure place so that you don't lose them.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.

Good luck!

How to replace the lcd of n73

first remove the back housing then the front housing after removing the front and the back housing ,remove the battery, sim card and the memory card after that remove the screw using a tool that is compatible to your screw then after you removing the screw. Now push your plastic shim into the join at the top of the phone to lift the front cover out slightly. Then run the plastic shim along both sides of the cover to unclip it at these points too... Now have the front cover removed, like below...The LCD screen is held in place by a metal frame which needs to be unclipped around its edge for removal. The LCD screen will now be loose and can be removed. It will be attached to the phone by a ribbon which attaches like a plug and socket. Simply lift it upwards to unplug it.You can now lift away the LCD and replace with new. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly..thats all thank you

Hp pavillion dv6-1030us just order my new screen how do i take the front and back bezel off looking for a video link not finding all the screws on front thanks

The procedure to replace the display is outlined in the maintenance and service guide.

Refer to the Display Assembly beginning on page 81 for the "complete" disassembly instructions.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01758220.pdf

The maintenance guide gives you step by step procedures to remove the monitor and most importantly... how to remove the bezel "properly".

Replacing lcd screen on HP dv4-1120us laptop

No Problem, it is good that you think then act as opposed to the other way around. For you LCD, I would go to Ebay, type in "HP dv4-1120us LCD", and see what i could come up with. For your removal Instructions, i can help you there. I can walk you through it. ----------------------------------------------------------REMOVE THE BATTERY-------------------------------------------------------- You wil want to identify some parts first. Look at your laptop, and you will see it is comprised of 2 components, a lid and a base. Looking at the lid, you will see that there is a small plastic frame around the LCD. On this frame there is Generally a few rubber bits, although you will need to look closely to see them. Take a philips flathead screwdriver and remove them. Underneath you will see some small screws, carefully remove them. Then slowly prise this frame off, known as a bezel. Then the rest is easy. Put your hand in front of the LCD, and gently tip the laptop. The LCD will fall into your hand. If it doesn't try to get it out with the screwdriver. Then, carefully holding the screen, remove any connectors that hold the screen to the board. Memorize what cable goes where. Put this LCD down. Get a new one from ebay, and carefully remove it from the packaging. Then hold it like you did with the first, connect the cables where they go, push it into place, place the bezel aka the frame back on, and screw it in. If the rubber is no longer sticky, regular glue such as crazy glue, or gorrilla glue will work. Place the rubber bits back on the screen and your good to go.

Please note that incorrect or loose cable placement could cause undesired effects. If a cable needs force to go in, check that this is the right cable, you may damage the port and cable. If lines or flickering occurs, check the connecter of the screen. Pull them out, blow on them, put them back in, if the flickering resumes, i would call the manufacterer from ebay, for a warranty refund.

Good Luck

Hp pavilion dv 1000 screen replacment

Dear lotaman, I have searched the world to find an exact guide for your monitor but it is impossible. Neveretheless I have found the following guides and they should be more than enough to complete the task in hand anytime.

TIP: The ZV5000 looks and is very similar to the HP DV1000 screen so I would start from there. All guides are very nicely explained.

Please remember to remove the battery before you do any work with the laptop.

My lcd is broken on my sidekick !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Either buy the entire screen portion off Ebay which would only require you to remove the swivel portion and screen or just the LCD (which would be cheaper but a bit more work to replace, albeit simple). With a small screwdriver, remove the LCD from the phone by unscrewing the back of the screen and replacing LCD. You may still need to remove the entire screen from the base and as the swivel portion is on a coil, be mindful that it doesn't swivel after removal. I usually leave one of the screws in place to keep the screen from swiveling, otherwise, if it uncoils just wind the swivel portion to a moderate tightness and then reattach it to the unit after replacing the LCD.
