Mobile bought a mobile from hong kong off ebay.it has a usb connection.i connected to my laptop with vista o/s and it cannot load drivers.there is no name but model no mt6226.any ideas?

RS232 is now not being fitted to laptops This has become old technology. If you have devices that require connecting via an RS232 There are USB cables that emulate the connections of an RS232 that can be set to a com port to fool the device that it has the rightr connection. Look on Ebay there are quite a few at various prices, most from Hong Kong. I have bought aqnd used them to connect my radio scanners and Scancat software to program Amateur radios quite succesfully, as well as to run my old HP A3 scanner

Can you return it or exchange it? That would be the best thing to do. I've bought stuff from Hong Kong, but found it doesn't take long before things start going wrong in some cases, depends on the item. There are some serious issues going on with this camera, and it wouldn't be worth the cost of having it repaired. Get your money back, if you can, and return it. Look for a name brand next time, at least you can get parts for them off ebay and the net. Good luck.

When plugging into your pc connect the usb end 1st then the other end into your phone, it will say mass storage and web cam highlight mass storage and then ok it will charge from your pc. This bottom part I added to you other post I found 1st.

I am assuming its the same as the i9 with a usb cable which plugs into the computer to charge or a power socket for the wall charge. This should have been sent when you bought the phone, check the website you got the phone from and email asking where it is. Other wise you can buy the plug on ebay(Australia) for $2.53 free postage from store Hong Kong Outlets they have plugs for 5 different countries.

If you can live without all the fancy background stuff that comes with some webcams, it is true that Windows (XP) has generic drivers that will work with any USB connected webcam. A GREAT program that I found on the web to use with my cheap, generic, sent from Hong Kong, bought on eBay, LED lit webcam, is called YAWCAM. (Yet Another Webcam software. I hope you knew this wasnt an Apple IPHONE before you purchased it. This is a IPHONE look alike. It does not support WIFI capability. Sorry....

There are several driver packages out there for these Chinese phones. This one is for the 6227. You can try it, but I don't know for sure if it is vista compatible.
