    same problem my cp is w880i and the pc suite is windows xp compatible. my os is vista so i cant install the pc suite to my laptop. help me

    the software cannot be installed. The msg is that the device isn't compatible with windows vista

Even after downloading 2.10.46,i'm unable to connect internet using data cable. it shows the message 'cannot locate resources'..while downloading the system got rebooted and there were 2 windows simultaneously..one for downloading and the other saying 'cannot download resources' wat shud i do? its difficult to connect to internet using bluetooth everytime..its kinda slow.. :(

Go onto the sony ericsson web site and see if there is a windows vista compatiable software suite availble to download if not you will have to wait till the release it.... Good old Vista, my sujestion if its just to put music on your memory card then just buy a memory card reader and drag and drop the media straight on the card its much faster

1. The CD that came with your phone is out of date by the time you buy the phone. Get Sony Ericsson PC Suite from here:

But before you install Sony Ericsson PC Suite make sure any old versions and temp files are removed.

Windows Vista: not compatible w/ PC suite
when you connect the phone through usb, the phone gives you a few options, including "transfer files" - choose this option and the phone would act like any other usb storage device.. this should work for transferring your pix. if you wish to be able to sync etc, there's an alternative (free) software, which I think is even better than the official pc suite.
