I just bought a 32" Philips television, every channel up until about 50 is very fuzzy and unclear. All of the channels after that are clear and the digital ones are obviously even clearer. Is there any way I can replace the digital ones with the fuzzy ones or possibly get a list of all the local digital stations so i know what channels are which? I tried an AntannaeWeb site but it only gave me a list of about fifteen channels and there are far more than that available.

unfortunately cable does not give you the best quality picture and "fuzziness ' is the reduced resolution being displayed on the tv. the easy way to check the picture quality is to get a decent hd antenna and scan using it for free hdtv signals, if these are also fuzzy, on all channels then the tv has a problem but if it is only on a few lower resolution channels then its just the way it is until everyone is hd 720 or better.
Do you have a vcr/dvd player connected to this tv? Make sure it is off. Do you have a cable box? Make sure your TV is on channel 3 or 4 and the same for the cable/satelitte box. Make sure you have good grounds on your cables and rca jacks. Should be easy to correct this.
Sounds like your coolant in the tubes need to be repalced. This is a common problem as the set gets older. Check with www.TvRepairKits.com for the supplies and instruction guide.
Well what your problem is the antenna is not secured well enough to the roof. You really only have a couple options, you can secure the antenna better or just live with the fact that when it is windy your channels will be fuzzy.
If you have a good cable signal connected to the TV and it receives channel 50 nice and clear but all lower channels have nothing but snow, then the tuner is defective and needs to be replaced. This is quite an easy thing to correct. Sometimes resoldering all connections inside the tuner will bring it back to life, but in either case the set should be serviced by a qualified tech.
Hello,
the best option for you is to put another (small) TV instead of plasma to check whether your cable is OK.
If you need more info please advice.
