Hi, I have D-Link DI-624 Router installed on my brother's computer. At the beginning, it worked normally, but now it stopped working. My brother can connect to the internet, but I can't. I called the broadband server because one of their maintanance guys had said the signal was incoming weak, but the new guy said that if my brother has internet, it's because the router has to be reconfigured. How can i do that??
try resetting the router back to default settings by holding in the reset button for 30 seconds this is found on the back of the router you will need a small pointed pencil or paperclip to do this
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Have you tried a new cable between the router and the modem?
Since the status light is off on the router, that tells me that there is no communication between the router and modem. Is it possible that the router was reset by accident? Resetting it will put all settings to default. If it has been reset then you need to sign on to the router to setup the communication again to your modem. Typically this is done via the IP address.
I can walk you through those steps if that is the case. Try supplying a different cable though between the router and modem. Power off both of them, power on the modem and then power on the router....then try to connect to the Internet.
Access the configuration page of your router by default its 192.168.0.1, Login to the Dlink page by default the Username is Admin and Password is Blank and then reconfigure your router for Internet connection.
There are multiple revisions of the DI-624,
each with version specific drivers, firmware, installation guides, and
other resources. Please use the descriptions below to
identify your revision. The links will take you to the drivers and install guides.
Note: The revision is located on the label on the bottom of the device next to H/W
The DI-624 Rev. A has 2 antennas.
Hi mark - please don't rate this til it's fixed. Hook it up the way you had it. i.e. modem>router>pc. Try it, probably won't work. Unplug the power on your modem and the router. After 60 seconds plug in your modem. When all the lights return to normal (except the activity light), plug in your router. Give it 20 seconds or so. Try it and let me know what happens. Thanks.
Try to unplug the router and hold in reset button for 30 seconds see if that works, you probably did that already, But if you can get your computer to respond you should be able to open software Bios. and do your firmware update from there. If not I believe a hard reset is with the router plugged in and holding reset button for 30 seconds, I don't know I sure hope that resets it for you. Thanks take care
