Question about Samsung SYNC SGH-A707 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Others hear screeching noise while talking to me on the Sync.

Friends on various networks and even on their home phones hear a terrible screech while talking to me several times in an extended conversation. They do not have Samsung phones. The only time I have heard the noise is when I talk to my child who has the Samsung A727. So, I guess her phone does the same thing. It does not matter where I am, car, home, work, it happens every time I use the phone.

They were purchased through ATT. They have both been replaced through their warranty department. I am on my 3rd one of this model. All three have done this. Also, my daughter's A727 was a replacement for another defective samsung (the screen went out on her first one) and they no longer offer it so they sent this A727 through the insurance claim dept. also.

A note to clear this up:

Evidently this is not a Samsung problem but an ATT problem in my area. When I went into the store instead of calling customer service I found out that they are having this problem with certain phones in this area. Don't know why yet;; wondering if it is the 3G phones since we don't have that capability in this area. Waiting on a solution from them.

I have an old Cingular Sync Samsung SGH-A707. Occasionally people on the other end hear a screech also. It usually goes away after a minute or or less. Since it doesn't happen too often, I wasn't bothered with it. I'm in San Jose, CA.

May I ask how long ago you bought the phones and where you bought them? Did you buy them at the same time?

Sorry to hear about that. You seem to have excellent proof that there in indeed something wrong with that particular make and model. Not much else you can do in my opinion except keep up the pressure... ask ATT to send you another make and model at their expense. With your record of difficulty, it should not be too difficult for them to understand that you need a differnt model. Sorry I could not be of more help.

Phone gets heated every time i talk. also there is some kind of screeching noise in the speakers. solution for this?????

Check to see if there is anything stuck in your speakers. The battery could be bad. Take the battery out of your phone. Check the connections the charging port on the phone. If your baatery is still getting hot have the battery replace at the verizon store you got it from. Write down your gmail acount and password . Then go into the settings and restore to factory settings. You have back up assistance on the droid 2 . AlSO if you go to your contacts you can export your contacts to your memory card. Take the memory card out before you do the hard reset. Make sure you have your gmail email and password .

LG Voyager when on vibrate makes a screeching noise

The ******** motor has probably become un-mounted.
In order to repair - it must be disassembled and re-glued to the mounting bracket.
Take it in to your local dealer to have it repaired correctly.

Turn the Sensor fan upside down. The wire will be a little twisted but overall it should work. I had the same problem. Next time please post in correct category to have a better chance of being seen. FIXYA!
