I need a power cord for a Sony SLV- 660 HF VHS VCR. What can you recommend?

Start with checking the fuse inside the recorder itself. If that is fine, check the internal power converter for any blown capacitors.

Have you tried the Sony Website? They often have free PDF's of them.

On top of it there must be a white plastic cover to keep it in place.

In vcr you mean? try unpluging the electric cord for 1 hour
then plug it back up. it just might eject it out. mine did.

I have 2 SLV-696HF units that won't work after 2007. I have had people tell me that I'll have to "find" a previous calendar that will work, since there are only 14 different calendars in our Gregorian system, 7 for non-leap years & 7 for leap years. The problem we have with this, is that the internal VCR calendar won't roll BACK far enough. I wonder if SONY has a way of flashing these units to fix this problem?

you have to select to switch from comopsit to s-vhs for the video input in your sony slv -n55 to get the video reached to it regards please don't forget to rate ,thx
