Doesn't seem to be rinsing or spinning, tried the time saver and the items were still soapy and sodden. Switched it off and on to a new cycle and it is still not spinning or rinsing.

"Rapid W&D 59 Min.
When you only have a few items to wash and dry in a hurry, this 59 minute cycle is the ideal time saver! Suitable for a light 1,5 kg load size (e.g. 4 shirts) or slightly dirty fabrics, this cycle will wash, rinse, spin and dry your garments in under an hour.
We recommend that you reduce the detergent dosage when using this programme to avoid wastage".
If the other cycles work without issue, it in not faulty.
Check the wash weight.
Ok hot water being still there and not draining is a clog in your drain line or pump issue. I have not yet brought up the schematic to your unit but on some units there is a clean out filter located down the bottom in which you would clean out the filter careful water does come out when you unscrew the filter on other models that do not have the filter door you would remove the lower panel on the front which would give you access to the pump and the drain lines as well even though if you do find items in the filter you still need to disconnect the drain lines going to and leaving from the pump to assure that nothing is blocking or clogging the flow of water. Im glad you replyed about the hot water still being on the inside definite clog in the drain line or pump or filter issue. If you have any further questions message me back. I await your reply Thanks Rick
The fault as seen is with the program timer controller and you might need to replace this unit. The rest of the washer seems to be in good shape and so your washing is perfect. So the timer does not move or contact into the program outputs with the movement.
Try to swap the unit before you invest in one so as to be fully confirmed. Make a note of the connections and double check before this is replaced.
my hoover nextra hnl 662 want wash or spin and the delay staart light flashes 5 times please help iv only had the machine a year and had nothing but trouble with it wouldnt recomend one of these washing machines to anyone jakki
I am not a repair professional. I am just a 78 year old man who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. Therefore the washer ID doesn't mean
anything to me. It's been about 55 years since I had experience with front load washers. However I can refer you to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good and complete trouble shooting and repair information on front loaders. I think you'll find what you need there. Don't worry about the timer, they hardly ever go bad. Good luck with it. If I have helped you, please rate my advice on fixya.
button selection : To select an option press the button and you will see a light come on above the button. Press again to cancel and the light will go out. You cannot alter the options once the machine is running. Note : remember to cancel buttons after use!
As you look at the machine
Left hand button... Rinse Hold.. use this option to Help reduce creasing of delicate or synthetic fabrics by holding clothes in the final rinse water. The rinse hold light will flash to indicate that the programme is holding final rinse water. Complete the final spin by pressing the Rinse Hold button when light is flashing.
This is not available with Wool or Spin only programmes.
Middle Button.... Energy Save... use this option to save money and time on lightly soiled loads. This is not available with the Quick Wash, Rinse and Spin, or Spin Only programmes.
Right Hand Button .... Super Rinse... use this option for Large Wash loads and items for young children or people with sensitive skin. This option increases the water level for the first two rinses. This is not available with Cold Wash, Rinse and Spin or Spin Only programmes.
Copied from my Hotpoint FEW12 user instruction sheet.
Hope it helps.
The machine only allows a limited time for all the water to drain out before it starts spinning. If the is a blockage or obstruction in the drain hose or drain pump, the machine will not allow all the water to be pumped out and it will not spin. Check for any restriction especially under the sink/tub where the drain hose attatches to the drain spigot.
