I agree a soldering iron would sort it out or if you want to do a medium job of it this might get it working by cutting out the damaged wire and stripping each wire and then putting a connector block in between it you will have to strengthen the connection or it will come out again, beware this is a time consuming job but may work as I have recently done this with a usb lead you will lose some quality ie more resistance in the wire but it should work a quick fix untill you get the wire sorted out properly. djdizzys

Sorry for the delay. Was in the hospital. Anyway, You could look at Mouser.com for the connectors, or digi-key.com. You could also find the cable at either place. If you would rather have someone else build it find a reputable repair shop who would do it. If you would like you could contact me at 701-837-7937. We would do it for you, but I strongly recommend finding someone in your area. Hope this helps.

You are very correct on the Technics is unhelpful issue. I own and operate a repair shop and run into that issue a lot. You should be able to have one made or make it yourself. also the unit could easily be repaired. If you are comfortable with a soldering iron let me know. I will walk you through the process.

My technics sh-eh780 stereo seems to work but the sound is very dull in sound

Unless there's an issue with internal components of the amplifier or speakers, a common cause of this is reversed speaker polarity.

The wires between the + and - terminals of the speakers MUST connect to the same + and - terminals on the back of the stereo amplifier. The speaker wires that came with the stereo are color coded to help prevent mis-wiring. If you did not pay attention to this or used different wires for any reason, you need to ensure that the wires between the each of the speaker's 4 terminals connect to the correct group and + / - terminals on the amp.

See page 6 of the manual here: https://support.panasonic.co.nz/docstore/SC-EH780%20Operating%20Instructions.pdf

Make sure that the surround and center speakers are connected correctly, too.

Good luck!

3 wires were taken off the turntable Sharp

The RCA plugs are the Right (red) and Left (white) sound channels.
The 3 thin wires are the power connect. It's likely this will only fit one way into the unit, unless you have broken or cut of the connector. One wire will then be the + wire (under 12volts DC) the other - wire and the other earth. As long as the wires don't touch each other all that will have is the turntable will go backwards if the - wire is connected to the plus terminal.
The phono plugs reversed will simply switch the left sound coming out of the right channel etc...

Bose sounddock no longer playing music

The problem is with all those little electrolytic capacitors. They look like little cans. There on the middle board. What happens is they dry out just like batteries. I fixed one for like 7 dollars plus shipping from Digikey. If you want you can use an ESR meter to check them, but don't bother. The Circuit board is the middle board. Not the board that has the connector that the ipod plugs into, or the board the speakers plug into, its the one in the middle of the two. Yes you can charge your ipod but it won't play music. Also check all the pins on the connector that the ipod plugs into, sometimes the solder joint breaks and needs to be soldered.

I want to know where the wires from the speakers go into the main system. I don't have a manual

First connect the right speaker. The wire with the plug goes into the terminal labeled SPEAKERS HIGH FREQ R. The speaker cord with the white stripe goes into the SPEAKERS LOW FREQ R + terminal and the black cord goes into the - terminal. Connect the left speaker in the same manner but to the terminals labeled L. These are at the bottom of the connector block (Jacks labeled R on the left as you look at the back of the unit).

I hope this helps.

Bose lifestyle 5

Hi,

I cannot exactly solve this issue but I can make a comment based on investigation. Lots of people have this issue but there are very few comments to help solve the issue unfortunately.

I have the same issue and have been able eliminate various things because I have a second complete Bose Lifestyle 5 system.

It is clear the issue does not lie in the Sub and is related to the Music centre unit. I can use a second identical music centre to power my sub just fine and my broken Music centre cannot drive my second sub.

Now the issue is knowing where to track down R428 in the music centre which is the suggested fix to this issue. I have opened my unit and there are resistors various Resistors in the 400 range but no R428.

If anyone can help with the location of R428 in the Music Centre I would be very grateful.

Thanks,
Jeff

WACS700 NOT CONNECTING TO STATION

Mine did the same, the station was trying to connect on channel 1 wi-fi where the centre was on channel 11, check under information and wi-fi for both. I then did a restore on the station, put both into installation mode and they found each other after a few mins.

Hope this helps

From HDD mode on the centre, press menu and select "Station Management".
If the option is available select "Delete Station" and delete any stations listed.
Select "Add New Station" and the unit will start searching.

On the station press menu and select "installation mode"
If this option is not available, try from another source setting, such as AUX.

Once the centre has found the station, press stop on the centre, as the station cannot connect until the centre has stopped searching.

If this doesn't work, you will have to reset both units to factory settings and start again.(Menu -----> Settings ------> Restore)
