In the remote there is a sensor.with that sensor the remote gets connected to the unit.but if that sensor is cracked the remote will not get communicated with unit because the sensor is cracked faulty so no signal will be sent.
you can only try opening the remote completely.
some remotes have screws, some have plastic locks and some are dye based they no locks and no screws.
if yours have screws then take a screw driver remove the screw and open the remote.if yours ave plastic locks take a thin strong knife and insert where the locks are seen.the locks are internally fitted so you will have to insert the knife in between the two parts of the remote and move the knife where the knife gets stuck there will be lock.move the knife up/down position lock will be released.there will be 6 to 8 locks.
if there is nothing like locks and screws then also take the knife and separate the remote in two parts.you will see thing line in between the two parts of the remote there you have to place the knife and separate the remote in to two half.after the remote is opened.check out internally.the parts will be slightly moved.lift the moving parts and reset it again properly and check out.if still the same problem the remote needs replacement.you can get replacement remote from local electronics hardware shop dealing in remotes.
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

My Emerson clock buzzer goes off at midnight every night How do I stop this from going off every night. I set the alarms to play music How do I stop the buzzer from going off at Midnight

If anyone has an idea I would value the input. Thanks
You can try resetting your clock's settings every night and ensuring that you set the time one minute before midnight. This should prevent the buzzer from going off at midnight. If that doesn't work, try unplugging it for a few seconds and then plugging it back in to reset the clock. You could also try using a dedicated outlet for your clock, so nothing else is accidentally interfering with its timer setting. Finally, you could try replacing your current clock with a new one if none of these solutions work.

When you hit the starter it will click then start and the clock will reset to 12:00 2003 grand am

The clock resets because the car battery voltage/current is so low that when the starter motor is turned the + 12 drops to less than 8 volts and so the CLOCK resets.
Please have the battery checked, check the starter motor , battery terminals must be tight.

Since DST started I cannot get my radio controlled clock to reset to the actual time. I replaced the battery and now the clock will set itself four hours from the time it stopped, then stop again. i have...

take the batteries back out and leave them out for at least 2 minutes. next put the batteries back in and put the clock near a wall or window so that the back of the clock faces colorado (where the WMV transmitter is),. It will most likely take all night for it to set properly, just after you put in the battery make sure that you have set your time zone on the back of the clock and if there is DST button press that too. just be patient, it will set itself. worse comes to worse you can set it by hand, but kind of defeats the purpose of having an "atomic clock". by the way the reason they call it "atomic" is becausee WMV's clock is tracking the decay of the Seisum atom, or some such bs.

hello lucy... you most likely have some corrosion in the outdoor component. Remove the batteries from the outdoor component and clean the battery contacts with the eraser end of a common pencil. Reinstall the batteries and then give it up to 8 hours to start reporting accurately again. Joe

Dropped the remote and now I can't turn it on!

I dropped my 650 remote last night and it no longer worked - one of my batteries was loose, so I carefully bent one of the battery tabs out - now it works!

Put the sim card back in if you haven't. Then push the reset button around or near the battery. You might need a paper clip to reset it.

Remote that gives outside temp does not work put in new batteries, still does not work!

Pull the batteries out of the clock, wait a minute, and then put them back in. That will reset the link between the two. The temperature should be OK in just a few minutes. The clock will read the wrong time and date until it resets during the night. The next day, all will be well.

Wireless thermo clock not reading outside temp

I've had a similar problem with another model, an Oregon Scientific Model IWA-80055 Wireless Thermo Clock, in which when I replaced the batteries in the remote sensor, the clock would not read the temperature from the remote sensor.
I found it fairly consistent to solve this by taking a battery out of place in the clock and putting it back in.  Unfortunately this also messed up the clock's time and date.  This is also in the instructions catalogue for the device, check and see if yours gives a similar solution.
