How do you draw on GIMP 2?

Open a new file, enter the size of picture you want to draw, click on OK.
This gives you a new canvas, click on the pencil in toolbox on the left hand side, bring your cursor back over to the canvas press and keep the left mouse button down and move the mouse, you're drawing.

Using Photoshop CS3 with my Wacom CTE-440 the cursor gets stuck in a small area to the top left of the screen but works fine using anything else, any answer to why photoshop is doing this?

Check to make sure you are using the latest driver for your tablet.

Wacom Bamboo problems

try checking the usb cable. change it for a new one. i'm using a motorola cell-phone usb connection cable an it's working fine with my bamboo tablet. also, try to upgrade your drivers and change your usb port.

Pen will only draw in photoshop

I am giving you a link below that will tell you all you need to know about Wacom and Linux (gimp). There you can download the driver you need in order for your Intuos3 to work with GIMP. Let me know if this helps.

You should try to replace the tip of the pen, that's how I solved it.

Using dual monitors

that is usually how graphics tablets are set, sometimes they have function buttons that you can use to toggle between screens in a multi screen setup (remember that graphics tablets are not the same as touchpad.....

it is also possible to set your screens up as one desktop... this with a recallibration of your tablet could give you access to the whole screen area.

It's the windows 7 tablet feature that causes the problem. To solve it you have to disable it. Go to start -> search write "services.msc" (without the strokes) and hit enter. Now search for "Tablet PC Input Service" double click on it and when a little window pops up set Disabled under startup type list box. Now if you want to see effect immediately there is a button Stop, click on it, and wait until service is stopped. When done close both windows. This way you don't have to even restart your pc.

This same thing happened to me and these instructions helped. But for mine to work, I had to set TabletServicePen to "Manual".
