A horizontal white thick line appears on the LCd permanently. photos are perfectly ok. this line does not appear in the optical view finder

Same problem. I went to turn on the camera, but the battery was dead, so I charged it. Then the next time I turned it on this horizontal, irregular line of white pixels appeared, going about 1/3 of the way across the screen. The line only shows up on the LCD screen, and it is also visible when the camera is turned off if you look closely. It seems to be permanent. It's not worth fixing, as the camera still works fine, but it is definitely an irritant. Any advise?

Most likely a broken / faulty screen. may be the screen ribon cable but unlikely
cheapest option is to get a replacement from a broken camera (ebay or similar) and swap it out yourself.

M753 camera when taking pics and reviewing them they are purple/pink with dark horizontal lines however older pics appear fine

Find out if the miscolouring is only appearing on the LCD or also on the pics. Is the fault in all the SCN or only when taking pics in AUTO.

Blue vertical line on LCD screen

Thus meaning what display on the LCD is exactly what "enters" through the lens. Is this a hairline or thick line appearing on the LCD and does the same happen on the photos/pictures when they are downloaded on a PC? If so "something" could have infiltrated into/onto the camera lens....

Toshiba colorstream 27A33 TV

1.Are these lines only in the upper 1/3 rd portion of the screen? And is there a clear demarcation between this area and the lower portionb, where the image is perfect? 2.Or is thin Horizontal lines evenly spaced around an centimetre apart? If it is the first case, then there si a problem with your TVs SMPS. It is not generating the required regulated 110V required for the TVs functioning. If it is case 2, then there is a simple adjustment at the back - 'SCREEN'. This adjusts the Screen Grid Voltage, and by slightly lowering it, this problem will go away.
