Ahhhhhh This is a fun one! Ok here is the first thing you should do. Put a disk in the tray and keep in mind the position it is facing. Close the tray and wait for your system to say open tray now open the tray and examine the disc. Let me know if it is in the same position and we'll go from there!
well, when you opened the tray with a paperclip, it probably jacked up the reading system. The you pushed it in manually. This will totally ruin the system. Try contacting Microsoft.
-check the time and date settings,even the time zone as well
-try to load the disc without the hard drive or memory unit
-look for corrupted files at the memory, delete it
-do the system maintainance,
system settings>>memory>>hardrive, press y for device options, press this in sequence x, x, Lb, Rb, x,x>>yes
