You need to change the band frequency on the phone....for it to work with the mobile provider that you are using.

Hello.. look.. here is the problem. i have a samsung s5230 star since the begining of this year. since two weeks ago my phone only shows limited service or no service. however sometimes i have signal .....

Your phone can't seem to locate signal on your are that's why it says No service. There;s nothing wrong with the phone, it's more on the signal coverage of your netwrok provider. There are some areaas that have strong signals and some areas that have weak signals. You may also want to contact your network provider about it.

Used my old cell phone from the states and put the sim card from korea in it but all i have is limited service how do i fix that problem so that i can use that cell phone instead of a korean phone

Cellphone services depends from the service given by the network service provider of the phone. If your in korea and using there network then probably you should call there customer service hotline for any service activation for your phone.

Hope this helps.

Limited service

if you are not getting signal in some areas then your cellphone will display as "limited service" and sometimes when you come to the area where there is signal then also it display "limited service"..
if so try giving "restore factory settings"("reset") the firmware might have got corrupted .. by giving the "restore factory settings"("reset") the firmware problems will be fixed ..

after you press "restore factory settings"("reset") it may ask for the "security code"("password") give that ...
after you perform the reset restart your phone once ...

if you still persist the same problem then the network antenna(network pin) inside the phone is in loose contact it might not be touching the motherboard of the cell correctly so if you are good at opening then just open the handset and fix it correctly you problem will be fixed ...

any doubts you can reply me

have a nice day

Samsung e330 limited service

Limited Service shows up on my E330 when I'm almost out of network range. I usually find when I move to a better location, the signal strength improves, and the message disappears.

Samsung e250 limited service

you have a prob in signal reception. it is hardware related. if you can open your phone, try checking its antena connection probably it lost its contact to the board. or worst it has a problem on its hardware parts.

if you can't open your phone have it repaired to technicians coz it is mostly hardware related...
