Feeble Alarm sound

Hi ,
I own a sony erisson p9901. The phone's alarm turns out to be very feeble when the clock strikes the alarm time. On the other hand, when i check the settings by clicking on the alarm ring volume it is loud enough. Any quick fix?

It is the latest update that has added this bug.....well what i call a bug...

on the old software the phone also used to restart periodically and say "the phone had to be re-started to improve performance"

now it just shuts down and you have to restart manualy when you realise its shut down....

some bright spark @ sony ericsson that made the latest update decided to make the alarm tone ascending even if you set and preview the alarm tone at maximum volume

if you use any tone bigger than about 60kb or any longer than approx 2 seconds then when the alarm goes off it will remain at its lowest volume and will not ascend yet if you use the alarm tone thats standard on the phone it will ascend to max level set at.......

if i didn't have tom tom 6 on this phone i would have thrown it at a wall since doing the update....

i rang sony and they said they could fix the 2 bugs at a price..!!!

why should i have to pay for a mistake they made in their seus "sony ericsson update service"

just a way of getting us to buy a new phone or spend money with them to correct their mistakes if you ask me ??????????????

the last 5 years i have been a se dedicated customer...this update is probably going to switch me back to nokia.....

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My alarm will still go off after i turn it off, how can i fix it?

Completely clear your alarms w/ this 3rd part application called SKTools

Get the WM6 version for smartphone (if you have WM6).

It's a trial but it clears up to 6 entries. Use that and then get a 3rd party alarm clock like Gentimer

This is a known issue w/ Windows Mobile's native alarm clock.

Hope this helps,

Cannot turn off the alarm

The problem appears to have resolved itself. The oly changes I made to the smartphone was to power it off and insert 16GB mini SD memory card. Since powering back up I have not had the alarm warning.

Did you set the alarm before the update? I've heard of similar issues and the only real way to avert this alarm is to have your phone actually have an alarm set to a different time.

T-mobile dash multiple alarms

The solution is a follows; If you have any legit alarms already set, disable them before proceeding

1) As soon as the unwanted alarm goes off , look at what time your phone says it is and make a note of it. (if you know EXACTLY what time it goes off at, then go to the next step)

2) Goto Start -> Clock & Alarm -> Alarm

3) Set the alarm time for the exact time from step #1. Set alarm to On.

4) Click Done, done, and done

5) Goto Start -> Clock & Alarm -> Alarm

6) Change the alarm to Off.

7) Click Done, done, and done

That's it, the alarm should now be disabled for this unwanted alarm, if you have multiple unwanted alarms, repeat this procedure for each.
