Color issue there seems to be a great deal of green & yellow. Not all the time, but sometimes when you know the water should be blue its green and sometimes things that you know should be white are yellow,

I have the exact same problem. When I'm watching a baseball game, the baseball hats look greenish when they should be blue. The entire backround has a green tint to it.

Good news for you this is a on going problem with this television and you are in luck. The Tv has a defective optical engine and as long as you are the orig owner of the tv sony will pay parts and labor to have this fixed even though the warrant has ran out. Go to this website to read all about it http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/news-item.pl?mdl=KDSR60XBR1&news_id=185

JVC HD-56FN97 all blue colored objects are green; blue water, clothes etc. what is the problem?

Check with JVC as at least on one of these sets had these issues: wrong color, any color missing, picture upside down or backwards lettering etc and this one required the use of the computer with a jig from JVC to download to the unit itself two files.

It sounds like a firmware/software issue and if so JVC should have it on record.

I remember as we were authorized and were at first informed they would charge us three hundred for even using the jig---our owner simply said fine, we will tell the customer we will have nothing to do with this repair(nearest other service center was 150 miles, they had to give us the unit for free or end up replacing the set. My point is they are not the easiest people to deal with unless you have the upper hand with them.

Jvc manual

Well there is no yellow, there is only red, blue and green, Blue is the set line the other 2 need to be aligned to. If blue is bent or out of alignment then there is a problem with some internal chips that would require a good deal of soldering skill

Have a Toshiba TN55V71 whose color seems to come and go. Sometimes it is just pea greens, yellows, and blues. Other times, the color is flawless with brilliant reds and oranges. What gives?

That usually means the color wheel is going bad.
If you like the Tv and you are handy it is fixable. If you are not ready for that, give a repair man a call. It is worthe it.

Thank you for the chance to help.

the blue gun is not working properly which explains the dominance of green and yellow colors. you need to look after dry-joints on the blue gun circuit board, sometimes oil leakage from the lens may also affect the board

Yellow haze

The blue filter is burnt out. A very common problem in Zenith DLPs. There are 3 color filters, 1 blue (a pinkish color), 1 green (a grayish brown) and 1 red (it is red) they give you your colors for you picture. This is a simple fix.
