I just bought a Praktica Slimpix 5250. I inserted the batteries that came with the camera. I pressed the button to turn it on, and nothing happened. Please help. The batteries work in my mp3 player so I know it is not the batteries.

I got this camera for a christmas present and it worked for about two years. But while on holiday it didn't back on. I then came back to the UK and purchased a new battery, but it still doesn't work. When i charged this new battery the green glowing light turned on for a while and then stopped. My camera is completley dead and i can't fix it - please help!

I bought a cybershot dsc-h3, new about 5 months ago. It was working just fine. Then one day it just stopped. I charged the battery and replaced it. When I turn it on, the green light illuminates for a short period but the lens doesn't come out and none of the functions work.

I am also having this problem with 2 seperate camera's, the vivitar 3105s. I bought two of them because they were cheap and small. i have left them for a while, one with batteries in, one without, and neither will turn on, i have bought some new batteries that are fully charged but the camera will not turn on, if you plug it into the computer, it can be used as a web-cam and also to retrieve photo's, but, i still can't take any. what a let down

I have a kodak cx7430 that one day just wouldn't come on properly. All I got was a red light, no matter what batteries I tried. So I began to wonder if this was a ploy of Kodak's to get people to buy new cameras...I don't know if that's true, but I did find a little switch in the battery compartment that was open. I noticed I could close the switch with a pen tip, but it wouldn't stay closed, so I taped it closed with a piece of electrical tape...and guess what...THE CAMERA NOW WORKS PERFECTLY.

I don't know if this is true, but I heavily suspect that this switch opens after X amount of use... because I know 2 other people who's cameras have done the same thing...sooner with heavy use and longer with light use.... LOOK FOR THE SWITCH, TAPE IT AND TRY IT! Email me if it works for you admin@durhamdirectory.com

I can't find the driver(s) for a Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D Canera. I found one for Windows 95/98 but it will not work with the Vista 32 bit Home Premium Operating System.

You don't need a driver. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Battery exhausted

It just means your batteries are about to go dead. Replace the batteries with fresh new ones.

If you have done this already, remove the batteries, flp the camera on postion, and back of, reinsert new batteries, and turn it back on.

if problem still happens, their is an other issue with your canera

I have same problem and just tried the "reset all" function in the menu. Then I turned off the canera and when I turned it back on the screen worked. I hope this works for others!

Konica Minolta DiMAGE 7i Digital Camera Problem

I just found a solution to my camera problem. It turned out to be the batteries. We purchases some Rechargable Duracel with a 2650mAh rating. After charging the batteries I put them in the camera and it started right up and was taking photos like when we first bought it. I have not been able to use the camera in almost 2 years and it turns out the problem was weak batteries.

So anyone that has a Minolta Dimage 7i and cant get it to turn on make sure you have at least 2650mAh rated rechargable batteries. The higher the mAh rating the better.

Hope this helps someone else. We are ecstatic that we can use our camera again. No more using my camera phone!!!
