I cannot get a ringtone says there is a line in use i have just one additional handset and i cant figure out what line is being used

Same problem as posted. no dial tone. line works with old phone. tried reset, battery removal, unplug base, etc..

Exact same problem. Have had for less than three weeks and it has now done this twice. The first time it corrected itself in a couple of days. It is currently doing again and has been for the past 24 hours.

Have reset, turned on / off, you name it. No references to in Troubleshooting section of manual.

Symptoms are light buzzing noise when you go to speakerphone or handset and the phone will not dial out in either mode. Says Line in Use on Handset. Can take incoming calls.

Weirder is that if you leave it on Speakerphone with the dial tone, after a few minutes it will ring, then you get the operator message which says something like - If you are trying to make a call......please hang up and try again. This suggests that the buzz might be indicating a disconnect with the keyboard maybe?

I am having the same problem. Both handsets say that there is a line in use I have unlugged them, took the batteries out you name is. And the really weird thing is that when the phone rings it doesn't complete the whole ring and looks like it has disconnected then rings again... if anyone figures it out please let me know to it's driving me nuts!!!

Same problem with mine too! and without paying $$ I can't get an answer....nice product!!!! (junk)
