Dell Latitude D600

My machine won't turn on. The green light flashes several times and then goes back off. Any suggestions?

Remove the battery and adapter..keep the power button pressed for 10-15 seconds....again plug in the battery\adapter and turn it on...

Can you enter to Bios? if it boot and doesnot load to windows, could be your windows is corrupted or your hard drive is died, but if it doesnot boot at all, this could be not enough power.

Battery light green, then flashes four times red, repeats


remove the battery
clean the connecting ends of ur laptop & battery,
plug it back in & then start it...

Go to support.dell.com and download the latest bios firmware to update it. If it still does not work then most likely it is already a hardware issue so you need to contact dell support for the hardware issue.

Notebook not loading


The memory has encountered an error. You can try:

1. Reseating the memory.
2. Replacing the memory.
3. Replacing the system board.

I've replace many, many D600 system boards.

Turnning on problem


Your description is a little unclear but I have dealt with many d600 laptops that suffered from bad batteries. Battries shipped to customers between April 2004 and July 2006 were problematic.

Check out this Dell site and check to see if this is part of your problem. You may qualify for a free replacement battery.
