A105-s4384 touchpad controls won't show up in mouse options

I would re install the touch pad driver. Go to Toshiba.com, select your country and find your laptop. Select support and download drivers. Whilst there download the latest drivers for everything.

I can not disable touchpad of INSPIRON 1545 of DELL Computers There is no option for disabling touch pad in the MOUSE option of Control Panel

Go to the Control Panel. Under the 'Hardware and Sound' options, click 'Mouse'immortal4u.png

Since you have a Dell laptop, you'll have a special tab called 'Dell touchpad' in the window that pops up. Click on the touchpad picture in the window.

In the new window that appears, click 'Device Select'

Click on the 'Disable' radio button to disable the touchpad completely. If you want to disable the touchpad of your Dell laptop only when an external device like a mouse is attached, check the last option that says 'Disable Touchpad/Pointing Stick when external USB mouse is present'

That's it. You've disabled your laptop's touchpad for good. If you don't find an option to manage your touchpad in Mouse settings, you have to install Synaptics drivers from here. Similar options can be found in other laptops as well.

The touchpad stoppped working on my HP MIni

By either use of the keyboard, or using a USB mouse temporarily, go to control panel and check the properties of the touchpad, it may have been turned off. Turn it on and it should work even with the US mouse plugged in. If it doesnt show then you need to go to hp.com under downloads and drivers and download the current touchpad driver and install it then try.

Hello cskpuels,

It sounds like the touchpad is working ok but probably needs some setting(s) adjusted. The touchpad settings can be accessed through the windows control panel. But before going to the control panel it's useful to review the touchpad basics for single and double clicking. They are as follows:
•Tap once on the main touchpad for single click.
•Tap twice for double click.
•The lighter the touch, the better the response.
•Tapping harder will not increase the touchpad's responsiveness.

•Opening the Control Panel
The Windows Control Panel can be opened by:
Selecting *Start > Control Panel (on Windows Vista)
- OR -
Start > Run > Type 'Control' and select OK (on Windows XP)
*The Enter key may be used on the keyboard in place of touchpad clicking*

In the Control Panel, do the following:
•Select Mouse [Enter] (Brings up the touchpad properties sheet)
•Look at the Buttons tab in the touchpad properties sheet.
•Adjust the settings and test the touchpad until you get the response you desire.

Have a great day,

Touchpad Sensitivity

Click on the start menu and select "Control Panel". Once in the control panel, select "Hardware and Sound". Once in the hardware and sound menu, click on "Mouse". Once the mouse menu comes up, there should be a tab labeled "Dell Touchpad". Click on that tab and then click on the large touchpad icon to take you to the touchpad options. Once in the touchpad options menu, click on "Device Select". Once you click on deivce select you should see the option to "enable" or "disable" the touchpad.

Mouse touchpad, keyboard, and usb drives will not work

One thing you can try (for the touchpad)

Acer have got a function key to turn it on and iff (i thought mine was broken for a year). Hold the function key, which is located bottom left of keyboard, and then press F7. It should be F7 anyway.

Hope that helps for your touchpad
