How do I remove the spark igniter when replacing a burner bowl on GE JGP 636 gas cooktop

The spark ignitor is attached to the burner bowl by a retaining clip under the bowl. Simply remove the two screws on the top of the bowl, then you can slide the clip off from the underside

Burner control will not depress or turn. This is a fairly new GE gas cooktop and this burner has been used only a couple of times.

constantly cleaning with spray cleaner or too much water may have leaked down into the steam of the valve and rusted it. replace the valve and lycon switch

Ge model jgp326 ignitor is giving

you either have a bad licon switch on one of the burner valves or you got water or cleaner in one of the switches.. Unplug it and let it dry for a few days, if it does not work you need a new switch.

Does not ignite

Check to make sure that the gas is getting to the igniter. If you can ignite with a lighter or match, than the igniter itself needs to be replaced.

Not igniting

Probably broken switch. or perhaps broken ignitor circuit. If only one burner is broken is then it is switch. if they all don't work check the ignigitor circuit.
