Question about Mitsubishi WS-55859 55" Rear Projection Television
This has happened before the green power light on Mitsubishi Medallion is flashing however TV will not power on. A month ago same problem however after a day problem resolved itself. It has been two days no resolve. I have powered off television select reset button to no avail
99% of the time the dm is the problem. if your lucky its the power supply capacitors located on the power board. this board is contained within the digital module.the capacitors are
1000mf/16v. mitsu has changed these to 680mf/16volt. theses caps will not necessarily look bad and should be checked with a capacitor meter

Someone left a WS-55859 TV in front of the dumpster at work. Plugged it in and timer light was flashing green. Removed the capacitors on the DM board and tested all 7, four failed. Bought 4 new ones, same as original for $1.90 each. Installed them and tv is working great. Remember, after unplugging this tv & back in, when you power on, the timer light will flash green for up to 2 minutes then stop. This is the normal bootup process after unplugged from a wall outlet.

Here's a guy who fixed it himself, with no prior soldering experience, and completely documented the process.
check it out here:
The only thing I would add, based on all the online Q&A sites, which all agree that replacing the seven (7) Capacitors on the DM board is the recomended fix, is to upgrade the Capacitors to:
1000 micro Farads @ 25Volt 105 deg.Celcius
