I am not able tu bring foto from my digital camera VPC S880 Sanyo to my pc. Would you be so kind to explain me ? Thanks

Hi sog_eudonna,

All you need to do is follow the below steps :-

Make sure that the camera is switched on ,

Install the sanyo software or driver which comes along with the camera ,

If you don't have the drivers , then , connect your camera to your computer in mass storage mode.

Mass storage mode can be selected from your camera as soon as you plug in your camera to you computer's USB port , but make sure that you have the camera switched on.

When you connect via the MASS STORAGE mode , you would be able to see a removable drive in your my computer option and hence you can open it and then find all your images inside.

Then select the images you want to copy and paste them either on your desktop or any other folder on your hard disk.

Hope this helps ..:) Let me know in case you have any queries.

Every time i plug in my sony camera to the usb port to upload my pictures, my camera will say " usb mode. connecting to mass storage" then that will go away after a few seconds and then it...

Hi,

The "USB mode" and "Connecting to Mass Storage" message will get displayed when the Camera is connected to the Computer and is recognized by the Computer as a Mass Storage device. This is not an error message and is a normal operation.
You can change the Mass Storage settings in the Camera (depends on the model) The USB Select or USB Connect option in the Camera can be changed to PTP, Mass Storage or PictBridge mode. Set the option in the Camera to PTP and connect it to the Computer and check if the Computer is recognizing the connection. Once the computer is recognized, it appear as a removable Drive.
You can transfer the images from the Camera to the Computer from the Removable Drive by copying and pasting.

Thanks for contacting FixYa.

My camera shows Mass Storage. What do I do to print individual photos to my computor

I take it your camera shows as a mass storage device when you click onto my computer.

1) Double click on your C: drive, when its open RMB single click on the back ground. A box will pop up and offer several options, select NEW the FOLDER.
This will put a folder on your C: drive. With the title new folder highligted in blue, just type the word Photos and hit return. This should rename the new folder to photos.

2) Double LMB click on your photos folder, this should open it up, click on the double square icon in the top right hand corner of the window to reduce its size. Then click on the blue title bar of the window and move it to the right hand side of your screen.

3) Double LMB click on you mass storage device folder. It should open, you may see one or probably 2 folders inside. One is your camera memory, the other is the memory card. One at a time, double click on the a folder, when it opens, are there any files inside ?

If not, just arrow back (Top left hand side of window) and open the next folder. Here there should be your photographs.

Once found got to the menu bar select Edit - Select all. Then back on the menu bar select Copy.

Move your curser to the Photos folder you just created and from the menu bar select File - Paste.

This should copy over all your photos. Once completed to you satisfaction, go back to your camera (MASS STORAGE) and edit - select all then file - delete.

Et blue screen and message msdc on screen. cant get anything else. Will not turn on and screen goes off if unpluged. Have charged for 3 days. Vivitar Thanks

msdc stands for mass storage device. Try removing the card and battery...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on.

Use as mass storage device

Connecting a camera to computer via a USB to download is one thing- Connecting a camera to Computer to feed back the the card is another. The chances are the firmware on the camera will not accept anything that is not in EXIF format. Try it -simply connect camera in the normal way. This will if you have the normal A C D drives will come up us removable storage -'E' with the appropriate icon in 'My computer' Now pick a file[s] and using the normal Edit/ Select/ Copy[Or right click] routine then go to the removable media['E?' right click paste See what you get- you wont break anything

F707 Problem w/EVF and LCD screen

From your description, it sounds like what I've seen described by other people when something has come loose inside-- maybe a cable. If you do a search, I know there are posts where [crazy] people have pried open the guts of their cameras and have written out a step-by-step tutorial on what's in there. If you didn't feel comfy going that route, you might be able to send it to Sony for repair. My vote, if the camera works okay otherwise, would be to just live with it.
