When they put the palm rest back together it looks like they did not insert the ribbon cable end properly to the motherboard plug in, which would explain the erratic behavior. The laptop will need to be dismantled and checked.

On my laptop, the cursor jumps unpredictably to previously entered text.

The space bar 'contacts', internally are dirty or defective. You will probably need to replace the keyboard or seek from manufacturer a 'cleaning process ' for this keyboard.

Loud fast beeps on boot.( Toshiba Qosimo F45 )

Looks indeed as if the TAB key was stuck or malfunctioning. The most common cause for such behavior is a liquid spilled on the keyboard, a bit of which got between the layers of the keyboard membrane films and causes intermittent semi-short between conductive areas.
A trace of liquid caught between plastic films is hard to get rid of, as it practically sealed and doesn't evaporate.
If it doesn't go away, you may need to replace the keyboard, which is not very expensive fortunately,

Keyboard is typing very slow help please laptop acer5100

Try going to your control panel and clicking on accessibility options . See if your filter key box is checked , if it is, uncheck it. Another reason is a dirty keyboard. Keys can get stuck over time so just replace the keyboard for $10 with a new one, check on ebay for a brand new replacement

Try typing Fn+F* where F* is a key on your keyboard wichhave a touchpad crossed out.

In my keyboard that key is the F9.

No control over laptop

I had a similar problem. It turned out to be a stuck key on the keyboard. Depress your arrow keys several times and see if that helps. You may need a new keyboard.

Gateway ma3 keyboard problem

The problem seems to be that the pressure pad underneath the key is stuck on the "activated" position. Taking the keyboard out would not affect the position of the pressure pad. Also attaching a USB key board will not make any difference since the original keyboard is still electrically connected and has priority over any external plug n play devices. A new set of keyboard pressure pads should solve this. I suggest taking it to your local computer repair centre.
