Re: RCA D52W20 will not keep blue in focus
If i understand your problem...blue is out of focus.. does the blue ever in focus?...i just fixed one today at the shop with a simular problem.. is red or green sharp. do u see the blue in the outline of text on screen is the blue only in one area of the screen. it could be as simple as convergence or like the one i delt with a blue tube was leaking fluid. The leaking fluid would be bad thing,. the convergence not so bad and not as expensive. so give us a complete description and will see ehat w can do..

I had the same problem with my RCA D52W23. I change out the convergence board and the 2nd fuse the one near the flyback. After getting TV back together picture was good except white backgrounds looked washed out with greenest at the edges. I called cable company and they came out fixed my cable line with was dropping and gave me a new HDTV box which was the newest one. That fixed my problems.
The set does not have a blue lamp. The set has a blue picture tube. I have found that the best RCA parts distributor is Union Electronics at 1-800-648-6657. The picture tubes in projection sets are very fragile and dangerous to handle. The new picture tube will come dry, so the lens assembly and seal will have to be assembled onto the new tube and then filled with fresh coolant. The set will then need a complete realignment, everything from screen and focus voltages, bias and drive, yoke and ring position to convergence circuits. If you have no experience in any of the above, do not attempt to replace a picture tube. Allow a qualified tech to handle it for you.
