Good afternoon. I have an LCD . When I turn it

Sometimes LCD screens can flicker if kept in cold environments. Make sure that it's not too cold in the area of the LCD. Also, make sure the cable to the monitor is connected properly, as a loose cable can also cause the screen to flicker.

Screen Flickers and won"t stay on. what is causing

Please read here:

If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

When i turn on my westinghouse 17" LCD monitor it will have a sharp white bar appear through the screen in various sections then blotch out to completely white, after i let it warm up for about 20 minutes...

Hi
Well that's the age old question. Is it worth repair? The problem is probably 6 capacitors in the power supply that have aged significantly. In my shop those caps would run approx $2.00 each with a total labor charge of $50.00. Now whats the charge where you live? Then you can decide if it's worth a $62.00 repair or a new monitor for $150.00. Good luck

Screen goes black with power on. It also flickers and power flickers. Does both randomly. New computer. All new drivers. Windows 7. Video card and monitor set with same display settings.

This sounds like a power issue. Check the power cord going to the monitor. Make sure it is fully plugged in. Make sure the receptacle is good and the wiring at that receptacle is tight and secure. Try another receptacle to be sure. Make sure the cord going from the computer to the monitor is secure and tight. You say this is a new computer. If so, then take it back where you bought it if you cannot find the problem.

I have a westinghouse monitor and the screen flickers.

Ty, two causes. One, there is a loose connection. Two, there could be some strong electrcal inpulses being produced close by. Like a TV or a big speaker or some such thing. Even a UPS too close to the monitor could do it. So, now you know what to do.

Rolling Waterfall Effect going up my westinghouse LCD monitor

try moving the monitors.
it could be feedback signal.
also try different leads or without switch.
you will then be able to narrow down the problem to one component.
