HellO;

if you see tree circle slot in the rear view of the computer, the color are pink, green, blue., The green slot is the speaker out of the sound card.

If not found these, you should add the add-on sound card hardware in your computer.

If still no sound, YOu should install the audio driver of your system., The cd utilities is enclosed in your computer.

May this help, best regards, melnavz

1/ I switched computers, downloaded the program on the new, and now I can't get a voice. The microphone is on, volume is on. 2./ somehow 4 people with off color ads are on my messenger list and I can't...

I assume you're troubleshooting a problem with your microphone, since you mentioned that.

1. Verify all physical connections are all the way in. Speakers and microphone sometimes stop before they are all the way in.

2. Verify that you have sound (play music or any sound file). If Windows Media Player gives you an error, google it (use caution here). If there is no sound and no error message, reinstall driver for audio (from Mfg website or "Driver" CD that may have come with your computer).

3. Use Control Panel, Sound, to check for settings that mute sound (check boxes). If you change anything document it carefully beforehand and test frequently, as there are many settings. If you change something and it does not fix the problem, it is a good idea to change it back right away--unless it's obviously wrong (mute checked).

3. If all else fails, try the illogical solution that sometimes works for me: Remove the microphone plug from the back of the PC (plug and port are usually pink). Plug it into the wrong hole (blue or green), then plug it in where it belongs. Every 8 years I find a microphone that is not fixed by any of the usual (logical) fixes. And this has worked twice for me.

Computers, you can't live with em, and you can't live without em!

Hope this helps. Please rate the answer. It's my first post!

Please also seperate two questions from now on. It's impossible to tell which one you are still trying to solve. I know nothing about deleting people.

No sound coming from my new speakers. the sound card is installed and when I check the soundon the computer it says it is working properly. I dont know what to do. sound volume is alll the way up

Check Socket Connections. Speaker connector should be plugged to Green Colored Socket.. Check for "Mute" and that should be in turned off. if problem continues, check the speaker cable and speaker circuit section.

Wharfedale s20030 speakers broken?

First, check input power (electricity) of your speaker. You can see lamp indicator on speaker (usually LED lamp, Light Emitting Diode, green light or else) must be light ON.
Two, jack line out (usually green) on the speaker, you must touch that jack. Don't worry, you can't heart attack cause of it (for touching that jack, DC-Direct Current supply). If you hear some noise, sound of droning, buzzing, that is indicate of sound will be come out from that speaker.
Three, you play WinAmp software (or Windows Media Player, from Microsoft) and get in one of mp3 file, and load it into WinAmp player. Make sure if your mp3 file is normally sound.
Four, plug in your green jack (of speaker) to the line in of your sound card (refer to mainboard PC, if your soundcard get in ONBOARD or plug in PCI slot). Green jack line of speaker to socket green of sound card.
Five, now you can hear sound of your song....

No sound

dear,

check the sound card driver, if it is not installed then install it..
if still no sound then check the speaker itself or the cable that goes to the pc .

moreover, check that are you plugging the cable jeck to the pc at right port..
most probably, the pc cotains the same color as standard , as the speaker connector has..

regards,

dont forget to rate it

Idont get any sound at all through the speckers

This could be a number of things. The first thing to do is make sure the speakers arent faulty, grab some headphones or whatnot from a discman or ipod and plug em in.

If your using a soundcard/ not onboard sound. Then you need to try all the outlets with the speaker connection. Ive come across a few that are mis labeled. Also if your using a soundcard, you need to install all the drivers for your specific soundcard, and disable your onboard sound.

For onboard sound basically check the volume controls, make sure none of the boxes are muted. Silly i know but it happens.

Most issues can be fixed in the sound and audio part of the control panel, make sure your soundcard or whatnot is the installed option for playback, etc.
