Question about Samsung HL-R6167W 61" HDTV
When facing the TV I see aline about 2 inches wide (OR LESS) shadow. Only when the TV is on. I just had the lamp and ballast replaced because the TV kept shutting down. $576.00 later I am now experiencing this new problem.
CALLING SAMSUNG CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A WASTE OF TIME.
This shadow is called by the light tunnel in your optical engine. You can have someone come out and try to fix the light engine. I am an authorized samsung tech and about 80 percent of the time I can rebuild the light tunnel. If the tech can not fix the light tunnel you would have to have the optical engine replaced. The light tunnel is something you would not want to attempt yourself. At least you can explain to a shop what your problem is..if they have not heard of this call a diffrent shop.
