To restart Windows Vista click on the Winows Peril or press the Windows button to bring up the Start Menu. Next click on the triangle that is to the right of the shutdown button. There you will get a drop down that has the restart option in it. Clicking on the restart will restart the computer.

Problem installing Vista SP1 on Asus G2s

If you tried to install Vista on the Primary drive and formatted the primary HDD your Factory Recovery Partition , most likely has been written over, it's gone. Choose one or the other , Vista or Win 7, start from the beginning, install a clean Vista load, formatting in the installation procedure, form a Vista Installation DVD, follow instructions, boot up, do ALL the Vista Updates, it will take hours of updates, rebooting, updates, rebooting. You will get to the Service Pack's 1 and 2, in 24 hours or so. Put on a pot of coffee and be patience. If you prefer Windows 7 use the same procedure.

How can i reboot my acer laptop

Press Start(ORB at bottom left for vista/w7) and if you're on windows 7/vista, there should be a list button on the bottom right side of the start menu saying "Shutdown"(windows 7) and "Sleep"(Vista), click the list and click Reboot.

On XP you need to click the Shutdown button and before you click shutdown instead click Reboot(Green button If i recall correctly).

My compaq presario f700 laptop says bootmanager missing when i tried the reboot cds its says cannot reboot from disc

Ifyour Windows 7 or Vista computer has encountered the dreaded "BOOTMGRis missing" error, you aren't alone. If the problem isn't hardwarerelated you can fix it with relative ease as long as you have a WindowsDVD handy.
If you don't have one, you can create a Windows Vista repair disk
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/how-to-make-a-windows-vista-repair-disk-if-you-dont-have-one/

Boot off the Windows Vista DVD and then click Next at the first prompt You can also follow the step from this side:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/fixing-bootmgr-is-missing-error-while-trying-to-boot-windows-vista/

The installation process will attempt to find your Vistainstallation directory. If there's more than one in the list, selectthe correct one and then use the Next button again.

Click the first link for "Startup Repair"

The installation process will repair the system, and then prompt for you to reboot.
Alternatively you could have chosen the Command Prompt option instead, and use the following command to fix the boot options only: bootrec /fixboot

At this point you should be able to reboot your computer, remove the DVD and everything should be working.

Reboot Vista

Put the discs in, and restart. When the bios says something like F12 or F10 for boot devices or boot, hit it. Go to cdrom.

ATI Radeon X1300 wont work with my Vista 32 bit

Try this.

Download the unified Radeon drivers from ATI's website... do not use Windows update. Get the Drivers Only package. for Vista 32-bit

If you can get to the desktop:
Uninstall the existing display drivers by using the remove hardware utility. Whatever they are... remove them. Reboot. Windows will try to reinstall the drivers on the next boot. If it allows you cancel the installation at any time during install do it. Run the downloaded package from ATI. Reboot.

If you can't get to the desktop:
Press F8 when booting and enter safe mode with networking. Download the ATI drivers from ati.com for Vista 32-bit.
Uninstall the display drivers. Reboot. Should take you to the desktop on the next boot so you can run the install program.
