Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KD-36FS130 36" TV was working today, then went off. There is absolutely no power to the set, and no blinking lights. No problem with plug or breaker, unable to reset by unplugging. Cannot turn on using remote or TV power button, and cannot turn on by using service code. Suggestions?

As of 2/15: Still experiencing the same problem, but now I can turn it on after waiting several hours or using the service code. However, if I turn it off to get the diagnostic info off the screen, I cannot turn it back on. Help!

TV will work ok for several hours. When I try to turn it back on it will not turn on. Wait for several hours then it will turn on normally. Anytime it is turned off it will not turn on again unless at least SOME time goes by where it is allowed to sit. Can not get it to turn back on when needed.

It is very common in this set to have a power supply and or scan failure to cause the effect that you are seeing.

A TV service tech with experience on Sony sets should be able to service this for you.

I've tried all suggestions from other posts but still can't get Tub Clean Function to work.

Only suggestion I have is to try these old reset solution that work on some older lg washers: unplugg and wait 5 minutes or so, or unplug an d hold power button for 15 seconds, or unplug and the plug back in holding power button down for about 15 seconds then release. Good luck. (LG makes great products but their customer service and repair are horrible).

Tv wont turn on< red power light just keeps blinking?

I have the same thing. Just started blinking 10 times. Pretty much had to unplug the unit over night. Could never turn it off and then turn it on again.
This worked for about a week. This morning, tried to turn it on after being unplugged. Still blinks.
Called Panasonic. they attempted a couple solutions, nothing. Suggested authorized repair shop.

Thanks for using FixYa. Please check the following—

1. Is Power board output +5V?
2. Is J1 (#19 in the right diagram)connector good?
3. Is DC-DC OK, check the voltage at J1 using a multimeter.
4. Is U4 (3.3V) working ok, U4 is an IC, you’ll need an IC tester or an oscilloscope to check this IC.

After checking this if it still doesn’t work then check P3 D-sub Input (on the D-board). See this schematic for details--

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.
