Question about Philips Magnavox 9P6034C 60" Rear Projection Television
I have a Philips 55" rear projection screen (about 5 years old) and I seem to have a haze or cloudy picture. Any suggestions on what my problem may be and/or a solution.
The CRTs on Projection TV's run so hot that they put a reservoir of
cooling fluid on them. Over time a bacteria tends to grow in it
and cloud up your picture. Usually in the blue then green
CRTs. It is kind of a job replacing the fluid, should be done by
a pro as you have to remove the CRTs and then realign them
afterwards. And if you spill the fluid on the circuitry, you
really have problems.
Of course could just be a lot of dust inside the cabinet or on the lenses.
Hope Ya Fix It!
