With the remote, press the Clock/Timer button until the Display is showing the time. Press Skip Back/Rewind or Skip Forward/Fast Forward within 8 seconds of pressing Clock/Timer to set the hour. Press Clock/Timer again and use the same Rewind/Fast Forward buttons to set the minutes. Note: the SC-AK270 uses a 24-hour clock.
You can also do this by starting with the Display button on the main unit. Then use the Skip Back/Rew and Skip Forward/Fast Forward buttons on either side of the Manual Eq button.
Turn the unit off then back to ON. Alternatively, turn the unit off, disconnect the AC power
supply cord, and then reconnect it
While stopped and "DVD/CD" is the source, press and hold [L STOP] on the main unit and[h10] on the remote control until "Initialised" disappears from the television.Turn the unit off and on again. All settings will return to the default values
You need to take this unit to a qualified repair center. The problem seems to be either a malfunctioning switch, or the circuitry that operates the power on/off function. In either case, unless you are an experienced tech, in the interests of your own safety, you should not attempt to repair this yourself.
Try this as all remotes work about the for manual setting. Here you go. This will work with most all universal remote controls. If you don't have the code do the following: Automatic Programming With automatic programming, the remote control tests all the codes available on the Code List and assigns the correct code for the selected device. Although this method can be more time-consuming, it eliminates the need to look up codes and enter them manually.
1. Turn off the device with which you want to use the remote control.
2. Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control (TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CAB or AUD) until POWER INDICATOR illuminates. It should take a couple of seconds for the light to remain solid. The remote control is in programming mode.
3. Press and release power button. The POWER INDICATOR flashes once and stays on indicating the unit is in Power Scan mode.
4. Press CHANNEL up or CHANNEL down repeatedly until the device turns on.
5. When the device turns on, press OK to store the code.
Note: • To exit without storing the code, press BACK. • T he unit will search for the next code or the previous code if you press CHANNEL up or CHANNEL down after the device turns on. (go slow you need to press OK when the TV turns on) if you mess up turn TV off and start over. 6. Press any other button. If the device responds, the remote control has been programmed. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 2-5.

The remote control and main unit are factory-set to “REMOTE 1” mode. If your remote control affects other equipment during operation, you can switch to operate in “REMOTE 2” mode. To switch to “REMOTE 2” mode 1 While pressing and holding [AUX] on the main unit Press and hold  until “REMOTE 2” appears on the main unit display. 2 Press and hold [ENTER] and  for at least 2 seconds. The main unit and remote control are now set to operate in “REMOTE 2” mode. To return to “REMOTE 1” mode Do steps 1 and 2 above but use  instead of  for both steps. (“REMOTE 1” appears on the main unit during step 1.) The remote control cannot work with the main unit if their modes are different. “REMOTE 1” or “REMOTE 2” appears on the main unit display when you operate the remote control. If “REMOTE 1” appears (The main unit is in “REMOTE 1” mode.) Press and hold [ENTER] and  on the remote control for at least 2 seconds. If “REMOTE 2” appears (The main unit is in “REMOTE 2” mode.) Press and hold [ENTER] and  on the remote control for at least 2 seconds.
