This is the first ricoh i have worked on and i can find a service manual.. Sharp and Copystar are the ones i have worked on for years.. im not sure how to get into the program loop to reset it.. i do know if i turn off then turn on it will clear it but i make a copy then it will jam and go into the error code.. im sorry but on this copier in a noob..

This is a Ricoh error code. There is a laser unit synchronization error with the drum unit. I would take out the drum unit of the Ricoh and reseat it to see if that's the problem. You can not stop a firmware update.
Did you turn the machine off while the firmware update? If you did that your NVram is broken
I think that the only chance you have is with a new NVram. Sorry but you will have to put a new NVram.
Hello sir; the error code you display is toner senser problem, now the first thing you have to do is make a full color copy find out which color missing then pull out developer unit from missing color the senser right underneath, replace it.

1, press "clear mode", "107", then press and hold down "clear/stop" for about 3 second.
2, touch copier SP,
3, enter SP5-810-2 pres enter.
4, press 1, then turn power off and back on .
