I was able to install the keyboard by rolling back XP Media Center SP3 to XP Media Center SP2.

I had to call Microsoft to learn this. $59.00. But it worked. It was well worth it.

From what I understand if you update to SP3 you should do by downloading each download. DO NOT DOWNLOAD the SP3 as a package!!!!

press this eset button then check us b plug in is in your computer properly ie remove and put back in after doing this and reseting also make sure the batterys are good by checking if the caps lock button lights up when pressed this telling you the keyboard is working if you have done all this and it still dont work then you mgith need to either reinstall the software that came with it and then give it a try if this still dont work then you probably find that the sensor on the usb port has broke down you cant repair them as repairing them would cost more than repalcing the keyboard and mouse but first have a good look on bottom of keyboard for reset button you might need a pin to press it with as it will only be a small hole with button inside let me know if you need further assistance ok

Mouse and keyboard quit

i assume this is a wireless device, i had a similar problem when the reciever was too close to tv/monitor/wifi router the interference tended to mess things up or make it appear dead. if its IR (infared) make sure nothing is blocking the reciever. if all else fails i bought another set for like 20bucks @ any box store. could also try reinstalling driver if it came with a cd/disk

My keyboard will not work but my mouse will

add the device manually using a wired keyboard. go to device manager then add a device. follow the prompts. then if it shows you a password, type that using your wireless KB to connect it.

Dead keyboard. Yes! I have replace batteries, uninstalled everything, booted pc.

i just got off the phone with logitech tech support about my 'dead keyboard'. I have a logitech wireless keyboard/mouse ex100. the mouse still worked and the keyboard just quit all of the sudden like. THE FIX! 1. Make sure in your device manager that the keyboard is still connected and working properly. if it is...
2. then remove the batteries and type on the keyboard for 10 seconds or so.
3. Then reinsert the batteries.
4. press the left alt key, left control key, and the f12 key all at the same time.
5. Then press the connect button on the reciever
6. press the connect button on the keyboard
7. press the escape button on the keyoard
8. test the keyboard
it worked for me :) that's how i was able to type this. hope it works for you

I have a wireless keyboard and mouse S520. Changed all batteries but it still doesn't connect/work. I plugged in receiver - still nothing. Bought it a few months ago. Not happy! Can you tell me what's...

You have to download the software from and install it. The software will help you encrypt a connection and make it start working again. The software will prompt you to type in a set of numbers and the connection will be there again. Don't worry... your mouse and keyboard2.gif are not broken. This happens quite frequently.,en
This should be the link you need to find the software for your keyboard

If the keyboard has a reciever, make sure you press the button on both. also you may try to un-plug the USB cord from the computer for the reciever, turn the computer off, plug the reciever back in and turn the computer on again. it should say " New hardware found" or something to that effect. if it asks you to install it , try that. the omputer may simply nee to recognize the keyboard.

Logitech wireless keyboard doesn't respond

Ok, try this. Remove the batteries from the keyboard, just type anything randomly for about a minute on the k/b keys (doesnt have to make sense) Just press as many keys as you can. This will discharge the capacitors and reset the k/b. Reinsert the batteries, making sure they are in the correct alignment (try to use new batteries if you can) and connect to reciever. Press the connect button on receiver first, and then press the connect button under the keyboard.

If that still doesn't work, then your keyboard is most likely defective. Make sure you have reinstalled the k/b software first from Logitech..
