I've owned a acme juicer for years the 6001 model and recently it has started vibrating alot when I juice carrots, do you think the motor is about shot, recently I replaced the cutter in it, do the clutch that screws ontop of the cutters ever go bad and aren't holding the cutter in place well enough and that could cause the vibration.
I've had one for 21 years and when I replaced the blade the same thing happened.
The blade is not supposed to be held firmly in place so it can slip intentionally to
minimize vibration. If you bought the juicer new, think back, and I believe you will
remember the vibration problem. I seems with a worn blade they vibrate less. The
motor is very durable and uses roller bearings like on a skate board. I went back
to the old blade, which I sharpen with a drill using a small bit.
