Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

We have an HP 940C Deskjet connected by LPT to a Lenovo XP. The 940C Deskjet Control Panel's Printer Status reads "Status Unknown". The printer functions, but we need to use the Control...

Hello, I was using a 940C till quite recently and had no probs; however I was using USB to connect. Perhaps your LPT cable isn't fully wired and so bi-directional comms don't work, ie status info isn't received from the printer, tho' am only speculating. Anyway, could you use USB to connect or try a different LPT cable, maybe a known good or more modern one...worth thinking about anyway! Good luck, Nicam49 p.s. don't forget to vote :-)

HP Deskjet 6980 won't print. Says offline but i don't see how to turn it back online. was working. now not.

Printers often go off line for no reason. It can be genuinely off line or the pc is just not seeing the printer anymore To put it back on line all you need to do is open the print queue (double click on the printers icon in printers devices/ printer and faxes) go to File and in the drop down list it will say "Use printer Offline or Use printer online. click on it and if the pc is seeing the printer if will change and the printer will then start up and print. If this does not work then check your cable to the printer or your network connection to reestablish the connection.

Hi ! When I install my HP product I get at connecting my HP print but I don`t know what to do. Please help me.

If you connect your hp printer to the computer, it should install the basic drivers available from the Internet, which hopefully will be automatic. If it doesn't install automatically, then you'll have to manually download the correct driver for the hp deskjet d4260 inkjet printer.

In most cases, the printer will be connected physically with a usb cable. One end goes to the back of the printer, and the other goes to the back of the PC.

Good luck on this.

I have a HP deskjet 930C that has been connected to a desk top. I now have a lap top and need to know how to connect it. I Do not have the disk the printer came with. I know this printer is older but...

Hi:
The deskjet 930c will hook up to your laptop with a USB printer cable, no problem.
If you hook it up to your laptop, and turn it on, Windows should have the driver built right in. If not, you can download the driver from www.hp.com from their support/drivers link.

Help

HI

1.You can download the software from the below link.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=oj-40065-2&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=1128296&os=228⟨=en
Click on Download only button.

2.The USB cable must be connected to the USB port in the PC which looks like this as in the below picture.

3.One Important thing is , do not connect the USB cable while installing the software. You need to connect when the installation software prompts.

Please let me know the progress.

Thanks

You can't hook up two HL 2040 with 1PC. It will make your PC crazy and don't know which printer should go for printer.
You must remove 1 HL2040. After that you should be fine.
