Question about Brother IntelliFAX 4100 Laser Fax
The fax was unplugged for the weekend while our office was painted. Since plugging everything back in, we can't receive faxes. We can copy, send faxes, and print from my computer, but we can't receive faxes. There are no error codes.
Thanks for any help you can give.
Make sure the green light that says "FAX" is lit by pressing the "Mode" button in the upper right corner of the unit

We had a similar problem which was resolved by resetting the mode from "TAD" to "FAX/TEL"

I have the same problem, I did everything to resolve it, change cord, check the line, even checked the line with another fax..No it wont work! So for now replaced it with another fax and a looking for warranty papers. I feel electric surge must have damaged something inside the electronic section for receiving fax.

Probably you not properly install a line cord, try to check.check it and this is 100%.if you still have problem try to conect the telephone on telephone line cord aand check the line is ok.
