Every time I try to copy a burn dvd this error message comes up. I don't know if I need to upgrade the firmware or not . please give me an answer.
Have you tried burning at a slower rate or are you using cheap DVD media?

If you are troubleshooting a system or OS problem, you should not consider firmware updates until after exploring more typical troubleshooting steps like file system error checking and anti-virus scanning.
try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs then click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to fix any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive this should schedule the task on restart then defragment your hard drive
