The stand by light keeps blinking and the tv wont come on.
the tv screen is not showing anything, it turns on and i can hear the sound but when the sandby red light turns off and turns back on the tv shuts off. what do i need to do to fix this problem

Could just be a power issue. I have not done much with CRT televisions except smash them to bits. I would open it up and try and look for anything obvious. Since it is taking so long to come on, I am wandering if there is a cap that is failing. It will be hard to know if there is no visual evidence of failure, and the only true way to measure is with an ESR meter.

hi.. It's in standby mode. Do a reset and see what happens While holding down the reset button on the remote Press the power button on the tv (The tv will turn itself off the back on) Now release the reset button
It sounds like the lamp needs replaced....
