F61 Error Code Panasonic SA-AK500 Audio w/ CD Exchange

I have found that others have had the same problem with this model. I am just curious as to what specific parts I can try and replace to fix the problem. I have heard it may be the voltage regulator / ics. If anyone would be generous enough to supply me with specific part numbers that would be a blessing. Poor girl, who doesn't have the money to take it to a service tech. and/or buy a new stereo! Thanks in advance.

I'm in the same boat sick of the darn thing turning itself off error code F61. I thought I had a good product until now! anyone with any ideas on this would be good. But looking through here seems all the panasonic models crash like this in the end.

Gotta love F61........the stereo turns on long enough to show the error code then shuts itself down. Should I consider it a junker and trash it?

The output IC may be defective. Part number RSN35H2-P.

What is output IC? You didn't answer the question. The error message says F61--and nothing else and power shuts off and when it's turned on you hear a loud noise. Do you know what is causing that and can this unit be fixed??

i've encountered cases that f61 code appear and i found out that the fan was defective which the sensor sense it and shuts down the unit after 3-5 mins.check the fan if it is working and if yes it is your output i.c. shuts down your unit.

Most propably the problem is a dirty socket on card number: RJB2191B which is the card on the side of the system connected to the power amp. the socket is propably CN603A but if i were you i would take all ribbon cables out clean the sockets with contact cleaner and clean also the ribbon cables. insert the cables back in the sockets respectively and check for any dry joints under the sockets,(could be the cause also), check everything is in place and switch on.
hope this helped. Roderick Bonello,15 years electronics field engineer.

Need a complete parts break down

* You should contact your Service Vendor for advice*
*** The following is for information only***
* No Brand or Model given, so I'll try to answer in general terms.
* High limit fuse, switch, come in one time use or resettable depending on equip requirement.
* Fixed Thermo fuses are set to blow at a specific temperature. Water heaters in coffee equipment blow if tank heats well above boiling point (say 300f or higher). Others protect at higher ranges but blows when reaching to a point where the frame may fail. You must size the fuse to your specific needs. (usually MFR part is required)
* Resettable high limits are used when fails may be more common in the normal operation of equipment. Some (like espresso machines) are used on the boiler but placed so that a technician is required to reset them.
* Auto-Reset are usually on consumer products where repair is too costly and having an auto reset minimizes service requests. Common on coffee brewers that are powered up without filling the tank with water. Boiler over heats and trips out high limit. Resets after cooling down.
* Auto-resets are commonly found on small 110VAC motors.
* Manual resets are found on larger power motors. Usually a red button near the back plate of the motor.
* Motor limits tend to be part of the motor. This will require an exact replacement part. Look at the motor plate and MFR motor # is required to properly identify the part you need.
* Boilers require the power rating to match the thermal fuse. Usually set above boiling point of water. Note; if your heating other liquids; oil, grease, lead, etc. Then you need a fuse to the specific temperature requirements.
* Water heaters tend to have standard parts that probably can be found at Home Depot, Lowes, Grainger, etc.
* If your using a DIGITAL control system. Then there is a probe or therm-resistor probe that needs an exact replacement. The limits are set at the controller. Exact (or at least same rated) probe is required. Note; probes come in many variations! + voltage, - voltage, resistance, etc. Make sure your ordering the exact part. Especially if you bought the equip from an overseas MFR as standards are different from the USA.
* Final, Call your service vendor.

Before I recycle the metal from my DS-1 Fellowes shredder (small driven gear stripped) does anyone need any other parts? Two larger gears are good. Norm

Hello,

I'm desperately looking for the small nylon gear (see attached photo) of the DS-1.
As I live in Brussels, Belgium I'm also curious to know where you have found the gear outside US and at which price.

Thanks,
Dirk.

Rotozip scs01

I've broken a couple of Rotozips. They say there is a replacement part available from the company, but I found it much easier to just replace it, as they have hidden springs and little parts that are real easy to lose ( I tried to fix 2 of them and now have lots of spare parts for the next one I break!). I paid $25.00 and about $10.00 for shipping for the button and lost the spring, and the button is very model specific - meaning it will only work on that model!
Hope this helps!!

Panasonic error f61

If you do not know what an audio output IC is, what would ordering one do for you? And unless you have the know how and special gear there is no freaking way you could ever replace it.
Either have someone repair it for you or go shopping.

Is it necessary to split the cases to replace a shifter shaft on a 1974 Yamaha 360 MX

Hi Glenn, probably not but for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix or parts inquiry. If necessary transport your vehicle to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. Good luck and have a nice day. 1974 Yamaha Motorcycle Service Repair Manuals

Most appliances use green for ground/earth. See your schematic for specific variation. Or try sharing more info, like what make/model and where the wire you're curious about is found.
