HP pavilion dv9000 display white and green vertical lines on startup previously I resolved by discharging the power but currently I does not work.

There's a problem with the graphics chip. If you own an xbox you probably have experience in reflowing BGA chips. If you're under warranty then send it back to HP.

There's tons of tutorials on youtube explaining how to reflow your graphics chip. If they tell you to use copper shims after reflow, do not do it; there is a high probability that you will crush the GPU die. There are many electronics shops that specialize in this type of repair, the cost is relatively cheap compared to the cost of equipment and effort. Here's a video of the procedure that most repair shops will use: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7f0OPnTMrDo

I have a laptop dv9500. The monitor is black and no bios or any sign of picture, nothing is on the screen just faint blue light. where is the problem?

The HP Pavilion dv9500 is one of the Pavilion dv9000 series of Notebook PC's.

This is the problem, and the possible solution,

My print screen button doesn't work on my dv9000 and i have tried EVERYTHING

On my HP Pavilion DV9500 with Win7 64 bit (laptop was new in 2007 and had Vista), I have the same problem, and I press FN-insert/scroll key and this works as the print screen button. That's the function key together with the insert key, which is 2 buttons to the left of the print screen key.

Replacing hp dv9700 keyboard

Look for the screw marked with a keyboard icon and removed them then you should be able to remove and replace the keyboard. Not too hard. You can get the service manual from HP if needed.

My HP pavilion dv9500 has failed with a mother board failure. Before I take action I would like to know whether the hp pavilion dv9500 has a history of motherboard faults; if so is there a good URL which...

The DV6000 and the DV9000 have a bad history of failure at the video card. Most of the failures are caused by an overheating issue. The most recent BIOS updates being released by HP have resolved many problems by making the fan run faster and more efficiently to reduce heat. Also when you buy motherboards for these systems, retailers are including small copper plates to put between the heatsink and processor and video chip to help reduce the heat load. Check any forum that mentions the DV6000 and the DV9000 and you will nothing but complaints about the motherboard problems. Most of which were or are out of warranty and consumers told to pack sand by HP support.

NEED TO KNOW H0W TO TURN ON WEBCAM AND OPERATE ON MY HP PAVILLION DV9000

HP uses CyberLink YouCam software on it's laptops and nothing else, besides a webcam driver. Go to the device manager and look for the camera in the device listing. It may appear by itself or in a group of other devices.

Click the link below and go to the bottom of the page, there will be a bold title that says SEE ALSO, below that will be a link that says: YouCam download at ftp.hp.com: SP37849 File Download This is the link to download the program.

Gateway laptop to phillips tv

Hi, there, pleasy clarify the following:
What is your Gateway model? Is your TV an older tube type or a new HDTV? Does it have other input ports besides the standard cable input and the RCA you mentioned? You may be able to use S-Video if your laptop has the output port and so does your old TV. Or if you have a newer laptop that includes DVI and you have an HDTV, then you can use a DVI to HDMI cable which by the way will result in the best image quality.

I would like to connect my HP Pavillion dv9000 to my Sony Bravia HDTV... I do not have an HDMI port on my computer. What is the best way to connect them?

I dont believe your laptop has an S-Video port. You should be able to use a Monitor Cable. There should be a PC input on your TV that you can plug into.
