Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Is there a document that can explain each parameter? I interface with the printer (B-SC4T) from an IBM Iseries server by passing the driver details direct to the printer, But I do not know what all t

As soon as you know how to get these service codes, you should be smart enough to know where in the manual the explanation is.
If you accidentally got these codes, please leave them and don't try to solve the problem. Not only are skills needed. Most of the time you also have to replace things.

I cant set the printer with as400

Turn the printer off
Enable auto config in Systems Value QAUTOCFG see ...
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v6r1m0/topic/rzarl/rzarlautoconfig.htm
Then turn the printer on
If the printer descriptor doesn't get created automatically, use
CRTDEVPRT command see:

Ibm 4232 printer 055 machine check msg ?????

While this is not for your specific printer, it is the same error code, and sounds like the printer is from the same series, so it may be of some use if figuring out this problem.

Re: Printing Garbage

I believe you have this setting incorrect: the MFRTYPMDL should be *IBM6400EP. That is because you want the AS400 to send out plain old ASCII to our printer. It is an ASCII printer and not a HP. The codes are different.

Forms jam on IBM 4232

there are 2 paper sensors in the 4232 printer. the first is the most obvious and is a large black sensor found at the front of the printer and the paper is fed through it. the next sensor is on the printhead carriage assembly. its rather small and can be easy over seen. the sensor is just to the right of the printhead assembly. Clean both sensors and make sure they are properly locked into their sensor homes and this should take care of your problems. If not then it might be time to replace those sensors.
