How do i program my remote (by 16 users)

I don't have my manual and I have a new tv, how do i program my remote to work on the new tv??

I went to the Comcast website and there they have directions to program their remote. The only problem is there are several remotes listed and it is difficult to pick out the one you have so it is a bit of trail and error until you find the right directions.
