The classic way is to put it in second gear, have someone push the car then release the clutch, lightly apply the break so that the start button will work.
Renaults are tricky to bump start. Takes a few trys. If you're doing it alone don't bother, you'll have to suck it up and get a jump starter from a garage.
1 Hold the right button on the dash 2 Turn the ignition to on while holding the right button (You should see Service Oil or something like it) 3 Pull the left button and hold it while the right button is still pushed in 4 Now release the Right Button you will see --- 5 Release the Left button and without the clutch and in neutral switch the ignition to start and then turn it off. I am not sure why but if I don't turn the ignition to the start position before I take the key out the service light goes to --- but then on the next start it come back ! ? !
Seems to me that the brake lights switch has a problem there is a way to test this problem, you normally press the clutch pedal and hold down the start button to start the engine, now try pressing the break pedal down and hold the start button, if the car does not start up change the brake pedals switch.
if its a standard trans yes. put in second gear with the key on and clutch pushed in, when you reach about 5mph let the clutch out until it starts then place in nuetral with the park brake applied and disconnect from the tow vehicle
