I have kept the plate from one of the ones I had in the past. If I don't have room to keep something like this I take it to the local Salvation Army Thrift Store. That type of store if where I would look. Also if you have a local paper where you can place an ad for free, or a call in radio buy/sell store. If you live in a "big city", you may check smaller towns.
how old is the machine, microwave ovens have a tendancy to do the ridiculous for no possible reason. a check of the main power fuse within the unit might help. it is a large fuse 10A> that supplies the transformers
